Lumenus Local is a local-first application for capturing and organizing personal information such as text, images, and audio recordings. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, when it may be shared with third parties, and what choices you have.
Local-first by default: Lumenus Local primarily stores your content on your device. AI features are optional and are disabled by default.
Lumenus Local is designed to let you create, save, and organize personal content locally on your device.
If you choose to enable AI Features, certain user-selected content may be sent from your device to Google Gemini for analysis, summarization, and transcription support, but only after you provide explicit in-app permission.
If you do not enable AI Features, your selected content is not sent to Google Gemini and can still be saved and used locally without AI.

We do not send your selected content to Google Gemini unless:

Local content is primarily stored on your device unless you delete it.
Your Gemini API key, AI preference, and AI consent status are stored locally on your device as part of app configuration.
AI-generated results created in the app may also be stored locally on your device until you delete them.
Third-party processing by Google Gemini is governed by Google’s own policies and terms.
Lumenus Local is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing on their own.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information handled by the app. However, no method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If you enable AI Features, selected content is transmitted to a third-party provider, and that provider’s own privacy and security practices will also apply.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The latest version will be made available through the app’s Privacy Policy link.
